Default yet ANOTHER cct question...

so is it normal to install a brand new oem and have it clatter for a little while? I just installed and once the bike was all back together it seemed noisier! bit of a clack clack clack.... I did this last year and just ended up putting the old one back in. I just finished adjusting the valves (they were all on the tight side!) and wondering if this would cause the problem with the new cct? have yet to start the bike since the valve adjust as the carbs are off as well. hope to have it running by the end of the day and know if I adjusted the valves correctly... do you need to prime the cct with oil or something?? thanks!

i primed my cct in a cup of oil before i installed it. a new cct made my noise go away for about a month. now its back to rattling, but goes away once warmed up.

actually i noticed that mine doesn't even make noise at all cold .....
only after a ride, after I stop the bike .. shut it down for 5 minutes, then fire it back up .. it only clacks for like 2 seconds, then I rev it to 2000rpm .. like twice and it goes away ... completely for the rest of the ride.

so weird... im still going to install a new one and try to **** with the old one to fab something reliable.
