would this be possible?
ok so i was wondering if anyone had ever thought about/tryed making a boost system on an hurricane
by mounting two fans one in each tube for theairbox to presurise the air to about 5 psi and running these
fans off the power from the alternator?
could this possibly work or am i way off here about how thewhole boost thing works

wouldnt work. in order to do something of this nature, you need to run beefier internals in the engine, change the fuel mixture, adjust the timing cam and ignition, its just WAY more trouble than its worth, and running electric fans is a waste, turbo or nothing IMO. I'd rather do this on an F4i where you've got fuel injection that can be fine tuned with less headaches much easier.
the real problem there is a fan is going to have a hard time building 5 psi. the entire system would have to be sealed and the fans would have to have enough pressure to force the air fuel into the engine. All you would end up with is a bunch of blow by back past the fans. If you look at a supercharger, there is no way for the compressed air to come back through, its only place it can go is into the engine. Superchargers are more like pumps then fans, they compress air and force it into the engine.
