I have what I thought was an f3 but it's actualy a 89 frame. Anyway I was painting it today and I guess I got some on the wires up front and as I was leaving one set started smoking. I have no dash lights nothing. Bike is in a parking lot right now so I need help like fast! I have my blinkers hooked to a toggle and straight to the battery and they work so I know I have power.

 

I will upload a picture of the wires that got melted together when I get home.

 

Paint won't do that, but a short to ground somewhere will.

Find the short, repair the wires, and probably replace a blown fuse or two.
