Default Will 1990 cbr600 carbs fit on a 1988 cbr600?

Hello people, I have a 1988 Honda cbr600 and the carbs are bad, was wondering if a set from a 1990 cbr600 would fit and if there is any extra work involved in making them work. Thanks

they should fit, as most parts from 87-90 are interchangeable aside from a couple electrical items and some other minor items.

but remember the jetting and pilot adjustments are different between the 1990 bikes and earlier years.

And the '90 carbs are 34mm, instead of 32, so that could be good depending on how you look at it.

Unless a bike has fuel injection , hey where there's a will there's a way. Just measure the diameters of the ports going towards motor. And if you can't engineer it to work. Holla at me and I will. Lol
Anything can be done 👍

The 1990 carbs are larger, flow better, and are an upgrade for the 87-89 bikes. Pretty hard to find however. 1991 carbs will not fit as the bore spacing for the intakes is off.

Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3s, fuel petcock, and new rear wing fairings came in the mail today. Ahh what a wonderful feeling! Can't wait to get this thing all together. Found a fair bit of rust in the tank. Will be using some kind of Rust-away product to soak the tank and wash it out with gasoline. If y'all have any tips for that please share.

I used apple cider vinegar full strength. Fill the tank with it and let it sit for a couple of weeks. Pour it out and then rinse the tank with baking soda and water to neutralize the acid. Rinse with denatured alcohol to get the water out.
