I just bought a 89 cbr 600 a couple months ago, didnt get to look at it till now. well my issues are the person i bought it from, rigged up a diff ignition switch. well i decided to just buy the original ignition switch not knowing he rigged the connection from ignition switch to wiring harness. So im looking online for wiring harness cant really find one, any help would be apreciated. also if you have any other suggestions that would help out so much. thank you for your time cant wait to hear some ideas.

 

What would I do? I'd go out to my garage and take a complete wiring harness out of the green tote under the the work bench and the ignition from the parts bike. I'd change the fuel cap and the helmet lock too to keep them all same key.
Unfortunately my spares are 87, 88 vintage... so there are differences from the 89.
Keep checking on ebay, kijiji, and craigslist... one will come up. Good luck.

 

I have a wiring harness from an 88. I'll look to see if there are any major differences in the wiring schematic. I'll give you a heads up if you're interested.
