Tire Size
Edit: This is in regards to your rear tire.
I just recently replaced mine and had this same question. We're a bit limited with the Hurricane due to F1 rear swing arm. I read in a forum that you can convert it to a F3 rear swing arm for a larger tire, but that of coarse is going to require some work (might as well go Street Fighter at that point (what I want to eventually do)). 140/80-17 Is what I have. The default tire size is a 130/80 -17. |

No sound clips, sorry. If you're referencing the middle screw, it's actually not needed and just sits freely (the other two fairing screws for the back pieces hold it in fine, no wobble). Here's some pics: Attachment 63122 Under the fairing: Attachment 63123 I am in the process of converting this over to a Street Fighter piece by piece. |
nice.. them plastic things that sit inside rubber one of mine are broke so not sure if it will hold tight.. thanks for the pics..

Also what is the differnce from a 140-80-17 to a 140-90-17 would the 90 fit my stock rear rim? thanks

i have dunlops 501's on my bike. 140/80/17 on the rear. i wouldn't go larger than an 80 series tire beause you start to mess with the geometry of the suspension from the taller tire. there is plenty of clearance between the chain and tire, hell you could probably squeeze a 160 tire on there, but it just wasn't designed for it. stick with a 140/80, you'll be pushing the limits of the bike just to use that tire.
