Default Time to collect parts for winter

Anyone know if the hand controls from any other cbrs will fit the hurricane(Mine is an 87 streetfighter)? Both hand controls on my bike could use replacing and it seems like all the hurricane ones I can find are so faded that they are almost white. Would be nice if there was something more readily available that I could get a clean looking set from. The important thing is that the master cyclinder and electronics work. I would be willing to completly replace the handlebars with something newer if everything would be more hassle free.

I also second the guy with the thread about gas tanks. Anyone use one other than the hurricane and have it look right? If there is some slight machining or hardware work to make them fit thats fine, I work at a bad *** fabrication company. I figure this winter would be a good time to put a little time into cleaning up the bike.

Thanks

other years will fit on the clip-on, but i don't know about the electrical connector, could be different style or pin-out. master from any bike will work. i use one that is using a remote reservoir originally from a r6. the clip-on (handlebars) are a different matter, later model year cbr's went with larger diameter forks. so unless you plan on doing a front end swap, you're stuck. maybe other hondas of the same year(s) have same controls like the magna or cb or years prior like vf(r).

as for the gas tank i believe the f2 will fit up w/o any modding. the gas cap, however, will not be the same so you may need to rekey.

Great answer! Now the only thing left to figure out is if any other years use similar electrical components.

Thanks
