I was wondering if its just the rear fairings that are used to give the f4i look or if you actually have to get the subframe also. Some basics to how this project would be gone about would be appreciated! im looking to do this soon! thanks.

I did not modify the subframe and just worked around it. Here is the best pic I have of mine. I have since added the rear fender and signals as well. I really need a new camera to take more pics.

Well, I was initially going to try and do the undertail, however I did not want to go through the trouble of changing the swingarm to route the exhaust behind the right rear set. It may be possible to do it without a swing arm swap, but the routing of the pipe can be a real problem.

For example, here is an F2 with a properly routed mid pipe, and here is one on an F4i that is not so properly routed due to the S/A interference. I think it works, just looks damn ugly and if you are going to put that much work into a project, you at least want it to turn out nice.

that F4i looks like junk, they didnt do a nice job at all.

The only thing I would worry about the f1 would be enough heat shielding to protect the undertail as the plastics they used arent exactly high temp.

did you have to modify the rr tail to fit the frame? Or how hard/what did you do to your project to get it to look like that?

telgren you dont think that my plastics could hold up to the heat i think your may be right i am still looking for a way to do it i will probably run it like the f2 that rrasco posted i dont like the midpipe showing like the f4i has i might as well take my time and make it look good. thanks
