Stock sprocket sizes 88 CBR600F
Hi out there. Hope you are having less trouble than me
Anywho, I have an '88 CBR600F (49 state model) I call the Rat Bike and want to find out the stock sizes for the drive sprockets. One source sez 14 front and 36 rear. Makes sense since mine seems waaaay low geared with 44 teeth at the rear. Can anybody out there confirm? Dizzy from trying to track it down with Google search engine. Oh, and any make preferred? RK, DID, Sunstar, etc.?
Thanks in advance good fellow original Hurricane CBR peeps,
Fred (in Oar-eee-gun, - like Dunham's "Ahmed the dead terrorest" "I keel you" if you say Oar-uh-gone!!!!)

Just look up the parts in Honda Parts manuals.
https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/ho...600/rear-wheel
Front sprocket is #18 on this page.

Thx "I Do Dirt." Went to the Partzilla sites you recommended. First one (rear) just has reference number to the exploded view but no tooth count. Second one (front) also shows a reference number but no tooth count. Rats.
NO ONE AGREES:
1 sprocket co. sez; 14/36, others say; 15/44 or 16/42 or 16/43 or 17/42 or 15/45 (Gear Commander) or 17/43
That's a low of 14 and high of 17 for the front
a low of 36 and a high of 45 for the rear
ALL OVER THE MAP! Anybody else got a link?

Mea culpa, IDD!!! Talking Thx for clearing that up - 15/44 it is. Maybe the aftermarket M4 'amplifier' is so noisy I've modified my shifting. Was positive the gearing had been changed.
Which brings me back to the M4 can. I had posted a WTB on this forum for a 1st gen. stock muffler. Just now re-reached out to a responder, but just in case it's gone, anybody have one for sale?? Anybody out there that wants to make window shattering noise, I have just the thing - exchange maybe?
Fred
