Default Starter dead, Help!

When starting my bike today, it was slow to turn over as if the battery was dead. After holding it for a few seconds the bike started. I went out again later and the same thing happened when leaving and starting it on the way back. When i got home shut it off and tried to start it again, it wouldn't turn over at all, when I let go of the starter button it continued to turn over. I shut the bike off with the key then turned the power back on, hit the starter button again and nothing. The battery is fully charged. I'm thinking its the starter motor, any suggestions.

........ look at your starter solenoid under the seat ... sounds like it's sticking/not engaging when it's supposed to ...

i agree, if it were the motor then it wouldn't work at all, it definitely sounds like the solenoid is bad
