Default Sprocket Question

I have an 89 CBR 600F. I bought it about 3 months ago. My friend took it for a ride the other day and said that it seemed to lack a bit of power. I got investigating and I discovered that my rear sprocket only has 36 teeth. I didn't even know that they made a 36 tooth for it. Is the only reason someone would put such a low tooth sprocket on it would be to have a higher top speed? How much of a difference will the stock 44 tooth make? Last, does anyone have a stock sprocket that they would like to sale?

A 600 Hurricane will not pull that kind of tall gearing it will be slower on top end because of that, the stock gearing is perfect for top speed anything higher at all it will not pull it as well as it is stock and anything lower it will also have a lower top speed but it may be a little quicker.

ive heard of people puttin those small ones just for the fact that they get better fuel economy and not have to rev sooo high on the highway and what not... personally it dont make sence to even think economy with a cbr....... when i hit the gas i like it to feel like im going back in time
