Default slow rev

ive had the bike for about 4 years now. when it was still a bike it ran fine reved from idle to redline without a hitch. now the motor had been on a gokart for about a year and its not revving right. it will go from idle to 6 grand with no problem but once it gets there it stays for a good 3 sec then continues to go through the range. the carbs are clean and working well and it has good gas in it. any ideas?

Jetting/air flow issue. Did you rejet after you pulled it out of the bike?

check your floats too, i had a 93 ZX6 Ninja, would rev up to like 6,000
hitch then come on with a fury, great for wheelies, but scared the life out of the kid that sold it to me, and when i checked the carbs the 3rd float was way behind the other 3 and once i caught it up it was ok, may only be part of the problem but with mine it was a float but same problem youre describing

that aside.....a cbr motor in a kart? that must have been sick.....

if it has stock needle jets you cant, if it has a kit installed it will have grooves with an e clip installed on one of them, moving the e clip higher will lean it out and moving it lower will richen the mixture

anyone know where to find schematics for the carbs? what are the ports on the front where the airbox goes? is the what have you that holds the needle supposed to go all the way up under hard accelaration? i think it would but it doesnt.
