Default Rim Compatibility

Ok, here's a fun question. I've seen a few guys run F2 wheels, someone has a gsxr1100 rear wheel etc. I'm perfectly fine running a 110 in the front. but would definately like something thicker in the rear. some say it's ok to run a 160 on our stock rear. some forbid it. That's fine. My rear question is. how can i figure out what rims will fit? i know cars have lug patterns, and offsets. (i'm new to the motobike modding) But i dont' understand how to tell if another wheel will fit? would definately like to find something that will help a 160 fit "better". is there an axle size/diameter? hub width? any help would be awesome. thanks!

to add an example. early cbr1000's ran 180 rear tires. considering someone on this forum has a 180 rear tire and no clearance issue on stock swing arm. would a cbr1000 rear tire possible bolt up? allowing me to use a 160/180 rear tire? that way it fits on the rim "correctly?"

on a CBR F i am not too sure but on a f2 i am almost positive that you can run a 900rr rear wheel in the rear with custom spacers... thats what i have now. I cant give u specs tho because this is how i got the bike

I did a little checkup on my bike today. It seemes like it's not only the 5.5" rear wheel that is from a gsxr1100. The whole swingarm is gsxr1100 aswell, to fit the wither wheel and 180/55-17 tire. It has been modified to fit the cbr600f2 øhlins rear shock assembly.
