Rear wheel bearings
Good morning fellow CBR folks, I have an 89 Hurricane and I am fixed my rear wheel, well the bearings, had an incident not too long ago where the sprocket bearing just yeeted and left the wheel in pieces, well, I have the other bearings replaced but the spocket bearing, it doesnt sit flush, still a quarter of it sticks out, is that how its supposed to be? I have no idea honestly. because it cannot go any farther in due to the inner spacing or rather build of the wheel prevents it.
I've tried countless time's and just cannot get that race out for anything. I've beaten at it/carefully avoiding damaging the inside of the hub, I just don't know what to do now cause it will not budge.
Bit late maybe but I've just replaced the bearing in my sprocket carrier. I found that by heating the carrier to 100 C or so the bearing will drop straight out. Maybe help it by banging down on the bench. I used a blow torch but dunking in boiling water would work just as well to get it out.
