Rear tail light
 

I am wondering if there is a way to make the rear tail light flash a few times before it goes to a solid red, just like the new bikes?

so I take it either nobody knows the answer to this? I want it for a safety standpoint and not for a cosmetic reason.

It is very easy to have done. Google "rear brake modulator" and you'll find an assortment of devices you can hook up

there are also bulbs that flash constantly that you can replace the originals with.
my roomate has them on his bike, a cop pulled him over one time just to tell him he liked the idea and they do make you more noticable.
