in your guys opinion is $1200 a fair price? this was a starter bike for 2 teens (hence the fairing and exhaust damage), but it ran good and strong, didn't ride it long enough to see if it got hot, but he just changed the thermostat and checked the fan....I really want it to be down to about 1000, but I dunno if he'll go down any more, he thinks he can get 1400 out of it...

nice, good luck with your new bike. definately post up some pics.
I'd recomend the following; helmet, jacket, and a repair manual.

Picked it up last night, plastics are all there except the right hand side vent, he has it, just couldn't find it, the belly fairing on the left is pretty cracked, and theres a little rust on the front of the swingam, but nothing 5-10 minutes won't take care of, thinking of going semi-naked...if anyone needs some red/white/blue fairings let me know (If you have an extra white front fairing, maybe we can trade), may get rid of the decent lower fairings, gotta get a good look at what I have when I get home tonight, pics to follow soon (if it's not raining of the fairings and bike, if it's raining, just fairings :P).

Gonna trim right behind the front turn signals to get rid of the mounting points for the other fairings and make it a smoother transition to tank and put on the side fairing under the seat and be done with it, I think it'll look OK, maybe not GREAT, but I'll be pretty happy till I can afford some new plastics...
