Question Putting air in the forks? Which pump/method?

Hi guys dumb question time...

Which tool do you use to put up to 6 psi in the forks for our bike? Also, if you use an alternative method could you let me know please

Seems like a lot of the pumps out there on ebay etc are high pressure. How do you do it? I'm pretty broke so cheap and intelligent solutions are king with me.

I'm sorry if I should've asked this elsewhere.

Thanks my friends

I just use a hand operated bicycle pump and a low pressure gauge to set mine it seems to work ok

A hand pump is probably the easiest/safest way. I used to use my big air compressor, but unplug it and let most of the pressure out first so I wouldn't damage anything. Didn't feel like buying a pump only to be used for inflating the forks on my bike

Hey Ben12178 and TahoeRider

yeah I'll go with the hand pump and gauge method and just keep trying the forks till they feel right for me.

Thanks a lot guys

Lightbulb Vid: super cheap little lightweight pump I found in UK.

Hey Guys

If you're in the UK and wanting a compact small lightweight pump for the bike I found this thing for £3. I'll let you know how I get on with it.

Cheers

I use the psiclops Xtreme air gauge and hook it straight to my compressor. I turn the output on the regulator down to about 15psi. The psiclops fills both sides in equal amounts at the same time. It also has 1 psi readout on the gauge face with a built in bleed off adjuster. It only allows 1/2 to 3/4 of inlet pressure into the tires at first, then slowly starts to ramp faster as the pressure gets closer to the fill lines. I loves it. I use it for all my bicycles, cars and motorcycles.

Best part? Only abut $20 on ebay right now.
