I'm going to buy a compression gauge tomorrow since everyone is telling me that I should.
All the plugs have spark and are in the right order. If it is a blown head gasket then would the oil look foamy/white? I didn't see any oil in the coolant since I took the radiator off to check my plugs but I haven't checked the oil for foam.
What should the normal compression be for the cylinders?

Write down the results of each cylinder. Compression can vary with older motors and if they are federal vs California models (I think). The most important thing is how they stack up with one another. In example 110,110,110,110 is way better than, 160,160,160,85. Let us know what you get.

when you hook up the compression gauge, remove all the spark plugs, and hold the throttle wide open. you might also need to hook either a battery charger or a spare car battery to the bike battery. you are just looking for close to the same numbers across all the cylinders.

well I went and called three different bike shops to see if they sell compression testers and none of them do. One place wanted to charge me $150 just to check the compression. Advance auto parts had them but I didn't think those would work on a motorcycle. So now I have to buy one from the internet and wait forever for it to get here.

I found a compression gauge on Ebay for 20 bucks. It is for a 18mm and that is the size I need. I just didn't know if all compression gauges are the same or if they're are automobile ones and motorcycle ones.

Just get one at the auto parts store. You want to buy one that threads into your engine. Its a simple thing and YES it is the same as the one for a car. If it makes you feel any better, take one of your spark plugs with you to compare.

I took my carbs off yesterday and looked at the floats because when the bike starts ALOT of gas comes out of the carbs. I seen that the weight to hold down the floats got jammed up inside of it so I fixed that and then put it all back together only for it to do it again. I can only think of the floats that makes the gas leak out. Anything else that would make this happen?

And when I did get it to run yesterday I am about 95% sure that all exhausts were HOT. It didn't run long enough for me to know 100% sure. Now if they are then the coils were all mixed up.
From my repair manual they go 1&4, 2&3 mine were 1&3, 4&2.
Even though I could of swore I checked those.

for the coils and plug wires, from left to right the wires go to 4-1-3-2.
what wieght are you talking about on the float? sticking floats can cause fuel to spew from the overflow vent, its the two tubes venting between 1&2 or 3&4.

there is a little weight that looks like a rectangle with a triangle on the bottom kind of like a dreidel. but I fixed that problem. I forgot to put the weight into the hole that it drops into so forgetting this made the gas overflow all the carbs and leak everywhere.

so sitting on the bike the first ignition coil on the far left should go 4-1 and the right ignition coil should go 3-2?
