Default Newb in Utah

Hello All!

Recently bought my first 1987 cbr 600.. The Hurricane!... and am super excited! However, I got it as a steal, and she needs dome work, and is definitely project material. I have owned bikes in the past, mainly late 70's kz's... so I am new to the cbr. I am glad I found this site with so much resources, and will definitely start a thread and start posting pics as soon as I get her ready.

First off is to figure out the mess of the electrical system. It started as a turn signal not working, and under the thousands of feet of electrical tape I am convinced that a dog chewed through the wiring, and a 2 yearold put it back together. Also, the bike slid on its side for a short distance... so I am going to have to do some fiberglass work, and maybe find some fairings....

But, anyone out in Utah?

Also, do you guys have any useful sites for parts/info/etc that would help me out? minus ebay of course

Thanks! And cannot wait to get this project going!

I'm in Logan, and a MECP Master 12v electrician. So I can help if you are nearby.

Im in Park City... and the weather is finally turning! Cannot wait to get my hurricane on the road!

Where do you get all your parts? I would love a new wiring harness, and some fairings... but I really need a front master cylinder and some new levers as well.

Logan isnt that far from here... thanks for the offer with the help but I think I should be able to figure it all out.. of not I definitely have you on my radar. ALWAYS good to know an electrician. If ever up here give me a shout, we can definitely go for some rides.

Thanks!

Default Welcome

Pleasant Grove here.

Welcome to the forums. Some of the most awesome forums I've been obliged to post in.

I haven't yet had a question asked go unanwered, even if it was in reference to else where.
