Welcome to the forum. What direction are you going with your project? Rebuild? Restore? Streetfighter?

 

Haven't decided yet what direction im going yet. I would like to restore but a streetfighter looks like a good way to go also. Any suggestions?

 

Well progressing slowly, finished up the wiring and all electrical is working. Now on to the next step, carb rebuild, oil change, coolant flush. Then start body work. Looking forward to a long ride when finished. Will post pics when new phone comes in.

 

i'm voting restore. i don't like the streetfighter look at all. or at least a mod to newer plastics.

 

Well things just took a turn for the worst. I had the bike up and running, took it for a short ride dodging icy spots (was sorta fun), then decided to change the oil in it. The troubled part is I stripped out the oil drain where the plug goes. I didnt totally strip it out but some aluminum came out on the oil plug threads. I am pretty sad at this point and am hoping someone can suggest a fix. Kinda lost but willing to accept any suggestion.
