My 1990 cane should i sell or keep?
Whats up everybody!!!! Just finished putting a different headlight kit on my 1990 cane. I really like the way it looks, but there are still some more work that needs to be done on the bike. For example one of the header pipes is banged up pretty bad. I loose a lot of horsepower and I think I need to clean the carbs, not sure though. Can I attribute engine noise with dirty carbs? Also I think that one of the coils in the front fork doesn't work? anyways my neighbor gives me $1400 for the bike as it is. Im kinda considering selling it? I wanted to know what you guys think? Should I invest more money into this bike? or should I part with it?

I personally think you should hang on to it, especially if you like it. It's a good bike. I wouldnt sell it for $1400. If you are going to sell it, than try to get at least $2000+. And what headlights did you put on it? It's a nice look.
In the shape yours is in, $1400 sounds very fair. $2000 would be appropriate ONLY if it has all the bodywork in mint condition.
But I believe you should keep the bike, enjoy it more. these babies are hard to come by, and really tough bikes.

Hard to say. I own one, and love it. The way I look at it is: there are loads of parts on e-bay, it's fast enough for me, does not cost much to change around, and mod if you want, it's a good base to work from.
Also, what would you get for your money if you buy another bike? Would it give you as much fun? There easy to work on, it's made by Mr. Honda. I'd do a money, and thoughts for and against sheet. Then work out the heart, head, and money. Then you know why you want / need to keep or sell.
Personally only you can decide. Best way. to go.
