i got the new rectifier from Electrex. It was listed as being compatible with the CBR600 2001-2003.

the cables that go to the stator are about 350mm long. Nowhere near enough to reach the stator connector from the mounting point.

wtf???

This is just going from bad to worse..., sorry to hear. Return to sender? What does their customer service say?

I can definitely return it, but if this isn’t the right one, what is? I just don’t know.

I figured I could plug it in without mounting it just to test, then if it works I could chop my old one to extend the cable. Do you think this is a good option if they aren’t stocking a rectifier for my bike? I’ve looked and I really thought this was the one....

I'm not familiar with that particular brand. I typically stick to OEM stuff, but given the prices in the UK, I can understand the desire to look elsewhere. I've been really successful in getting things like that off of ebay. I've purchased 2 GSX/r (yes, I know they're Suzuki's) R/R's for installation on our F3's. They had much bigger heat sinks than what Honda provided. Only had to change the connector to plug in. I think what to do now is pretty much in your court.

My only concern is that I need to use their connector they supplied for the stator, so no matter what, I can’t send this back if I test it. Perhaps I could take the connector off the rectifier and tape the bare wires to one of the connectors? That’s way I can unwrap and put it back together 🤔

I would certainly start with contacting their customer services to find out why they sent the wrong one before starting to mess with connectors etc.
I know you are desperate to get it out on the road but could be £100 down the drain if you mess it up.

good point. I’ll leave it alone for now. I’ve emailed but I doubt I’ll hear anything until Monday at the earliest. I miss the days when I had money to throw away on bikes.

she’s back on the road. The replacement R/R came and I’m getting 14.4 volts at idle.

I took her for a spin, got up to around 120. Something else feels off now. I hope it’s just my imagination!

thanks for all the help guys!!! My bike is saved.

That's great news for sure. If you're able, check it at higher RPM's to make sure you are not cooking the battery.
