I just bought a 88 CBR. When it sits for a day it drips one drop of oil. It comes from the chain gaurd area behind kickstand. There is also a bolt going into the block closer to the middle of the motor but next to the sprocket, but it seems dry. When I check nothing has oil on it. The bike runs well and is clean for being so old. Any ideas where it could come from.

 

yeah fella the oil as you describe is comming from either the gear selector shaft oil seal or the output shaft seal which is behind the front sprocket, both are a right T**t to repair,
