Default Jared the new guy with new project 600

HI folks, my name is Jared and I live in Portland Oregon don't come here it sucks.Rains all the time too. I am new to this forum but in the last 2 years I have gone from 73 CB350 four to 78CB 750 F to my current ride which is a 90VFR750f. I alos have accumulated a 60 someting SS125twin and CB360 twin and a 61 Ducati 125 single.
My new project is a 87/88 Hurricane 600. Now I started with a rolling chassi and a pile of parts. I am to an almost running stage with oil in the engine and coolant going in tomorrow and no spark yet but soon very soon. The only thing I have done to up grade it so far is to put tapered rooller bearings in the steering head. This pic is what I started with.

What I really need is a free downloadable manual for the hurricane series. Anyone? Bueller?

Check out this thread - there's a download link in there, but the manual is actually for a 1990 (we think). It's a good start, though. Your best bet is obviously to just go and shell out the $40 for a Clymer's manual.

By the way, I'm just North of you up here in Seattle, and ya, this rain sucks. I spun up my back tire on the freeway yesterday in 3rd gear! Friggin' gas and oil mixed with raim water everywhere makes for a hairy commute.

Yeah I just tell people that it sucks because we have enough folks here and I want to downplay it. As far as shelling the money out Ihave a dificult time spending 40 bucks for a manual when I know that somewhere there is one to download and I am only into this bike for about 100 bucks. that includes the tapered roller bearings . I did download a manual but it is for the F2 and there are detail differences like how the wiring routes and hose routing and stuff like that that I need drawings of or photos . I have it so that the motor turns but no spark yet. I will follow the trouble shooting guide that I have though. I think today I will put on the exhaust and chain, then make it run

wow, looks like you have your work cut out for you. i have not been able to find a digital F1 manual, and i am not so sure that manual is anywhere near an F1, european F1 maybe, which equates to a US F4. I need to just scan mine in, but im lazy.....I do have wiring diagrams scanned in for it though...lemme find them.

Thanks for the diagram. The Sequence is pretty much the same as a sohc honda. I have determined that I am not getting spark.I may have fried thebrain as I inadvertantly hooked my battery up backwrads for a second. Should not have affected anything as the key was off. I can trouble shoot it with the f2 manual I guess. It is kind of frustrating as everything else looks right and sounds right. Oh well tomorrow is another day. One more thing I have an extra space on the connector mounting plastic under tank/seat. Second one in from the left. Anyone out there confirm this?

Hye I found a CDI locally at Western Cycle Salvage I got the thing running and here is the stage of assembly that I am at. I need to make a piece of pipe to fit the exhaust on properly. anyone have a pic of a stock exhaust header? Then put what plastic I have on it and find the rest.
