I got's one too!!!
My friend that sold me her CB-1 gave me her 1990 CBR600. I don't have the bodywork, tank, or battery tray...or even the title, but when I get my hands on the title (title is somewhere in storage along with the other missing essentials) and i'm done or on a break from working on my F2 track bike, i'll get to work on this ole' hurricane. I'm stoked. I'm a retired Honda junkie. I've had some ideas of just painting it a dark grey color. I'm sure i'll have some type of vinyl, but unsure of what color. If you have any ides of a painjob that's really simple let me know. I don't want to bother with multi color paintjobs. I just want it to look somewhat of a stock design and not some off the wall radical paintjob done to cover up a mishap like I got a ton of money out of the insurance company. Just simple, effective, cheap, and like every honda out there....Sharp!
all ideas welcome.
all ideas welcome.
Well i never got the title or tank/bodywork. i am considering on parting out all the parts. I may keep the engine and carbs for a project. if anyone's interested in parts let me know. what's available is pretty much what you see in the picture in the first post. contact me through email: rc51_sp2@hotmail.com
alright guys. sorry for the tease on the parts. i'm supposed to get the title, but i don't know when i'll see it. i'm not sure how long i'm going to wait for the title, but if time keeps going on like it has, i know that i will eventually part this bike out. i will repost when the parting of the bike is FINAL. again sorry.
converting sportbikes to streetfighters aint my thing. i'm a bit too anxious to restore this bike to excellent roadworthy condition close to stock trim because of the post history this bike started. if i were to hand it over to my chop shop cut and paste buddy, i'm sure he would convert it to a streetfighter. if i never get the title, i may just use what i need for a go cart project.
