Default help ID my new F1s

***I added two new pixs ofMY F1 in front of MY garage !!*** Hello, ALL !! I'm captbruce, I just acquired this 1990 F1s... (2 pix attached), 20K mi. but Runs GREAT, but could use some "dolling up". The paint scheme is white/silver but the decals have been removed (if it even had any). Can any of you tell me if it's a Hurricane or what model it might be? the VIN is JH2PC2315LM000280 if that helps. Can I buy a seat cover, or just scour eBay ? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, captbruce

The cbr models from 87-90 are all considered hurricanes. Judging by the look of the bike with the fairings it is a 600. You will hear some people around the net calling them a CBR 600 F1, but most commonly used by people who know the bikes is CBR 600 Hurricane. It seems for parts, the best is either ask on here or check ebay listings under hurricane and make sure it fits the 600, I have made the mistake of not looking close enough and buying something from a 1000 and it didn't fit my 600. Nice looking bike by the way.

Actually, for some reason I believe the 90 (if not the 89-90) are not considered Hurricanes. I think there was something about name 'Hurricane' being too destructive for the time. They are all pretty much the same bike, and I like to consider them all Hurricanes, but to be official, not all of them are.

Here is what yours looked like with the stickers, the small text says "Liquid Cooled Inline 4":

Rrasco is right, the 87 and 88 models carried the name Hurricane. The 89 started the F series.

Thanks, Guys.
I'm scouring eBay looking for a left side mirror bracket, and a couple of those special 1/4 turn screws that hold the fairings on. Maybe a new seat cover etc... Just little stuff. I got a HONDA Factory Service Manual (eBay $10) coming any day now. Maybe do an oil & coolant change. Oh Yeah !! The back tire is starting to show dry rot (flaking), but the front looks new. SheRUNS really GOOD but I couldn't really run it up cause of the back tire. 55mph@4000r's
I'll keep in touch, Thanks again. Capt. Bruce
