Hey all. New member just checking in. Hoping to learn and share info on here. And I like seeing what other people are working on. I enjoy fixing things and doing some restoration work... on cars, bikes, tools... whatever.
Grew up on dirt bikes since age 7. In 1993 at age 18 I had an '89 600F. White with dark grey. Sold it in '94 I think. That was my first bike. Have owned an '93 F2 (black and silver), a CB 919 and a 954 also (black and silver). Loved them all. Love Hondas.
Now I just picked up an '87 600F that's been sitting for many years. Tank is rusted bad. But so far the to-do list doesn't seem too long: A few wires have been chewed, brakes need help, change all fluids, clean the carbs, new filters etc. Rebuilding the petcock now.
Currently, can't get the key out of the gas cap.
Not going to worry about cosmetics just yet. Just want to get 'er running
Anyway, just wanted to say hello. Will be checking out the forum and seeing what's going on with my fellow Hurricane lovers.
Rock on.
Except for the tank, all the body work is in satin black paint (done by the previous owner).
