good to be re-united but still giving me a hard time lol
Hi all, well after getting my old bike back and the bug to get on the road my cbr 600 fk is ready for mot ! or at least thats what I thought having just fitted a new regulator/rectifier and delighting at the fact the new battery is now receiving charge.
I started the old girl up as I have been doing weekly to find I now have a fuel leak, I looked through the side panel aperture with a good torch to see fuel coming from a pipe underneath the carbs that joins the left bank to the right bank so its now carb removal to determine if its a old pipe with hole in or o ring leaking, bugga I thought i'd be mot ready but will have to wait a while now, also found that most of the rubber pipes etc are discontinued so its going to be fun !
On a good note my 2021 vfr800 vtec with only 4k on the clock is ready for its mot test and I've just purchased a pair of Pirelli angels for it so at least ill be riding this summer regardless.
I think you have to be dedicated to keep older bikes running there always seems to be something, roll on the dry weather and lighter nights safe riding everyone, AL
