Default going to do the CCT .....

I know this topic has been covered up and down here on these forums.. but the sticky for the 600F section does not have pics that I can see anymore.

I just ordered an OEM cam chain adjuster (as they call it). I am going to try to put it on next week. Just checking to see if there is anything I need to know prior to doing this on my own. From what I have read, it is just a simple remove and replace, and there is nothing special that needs to be done. Any tips or tricks I should be aware of before I try this? You just basically take out the two bolts, redo the gasket if needed, and then put the new one in, right? I have heard that you should prime the piece in motor oil to fill it and get all the air out - is this as simple as it sounds? What has to be removed from the bike prior to doing this? Just the main fairing on that side?

THANKS

yea, its really simple... every1 said it takes about an hour to get to it but since i had a naked street bike at the time, it took me 10 minutes to do... its two bolts long the sides and the middle one you have to tighten... the middle is important to get real in there because i had mine undo and was real LOUD!!

as far as motor oil.. i havent heard that but with or with out it still does wonders

Just remove the old, clean up the surface area if any of the gasket is left behind. Put on new gasket, and install. Super simple.
