Default Honda part number 16952-MAL-601

Thanks Mr Lee and A11040
will try both avenues and a place I’ve found in France. Strange that lots of dealers in the UK have the petcock that includes the screen/filter in stock but before I hand over £120 I’ll (my petcock is absolutely fine) give a bit more time to locating the filter.

your Petcock has a vacuum pipe mine is like Mr Lee’s, I’m still going to order it because it’s really cheap, the filter might fit mine.

really appreciate your help
cheers

I think I'd like to go this way myself, especially with the problems @Mr Lee describes getting the rebuild kit to fit

But does the Aliexpress part above fit the F ? The item description says: "For CBR600 F2 F3"... No mention of the F/F1?

Not sure, does your petcock have the vacuum feed as this part does? If not then don't think it would work.

Finally went looking for my petcock. Can’t find it anywhere. Looks like I will have to take my chances ordering one from China, unless I can source OEM, knowing full well mine will show up once I have bought the replacement.. Feels like I only make the tiniest big of progress on my project in between waiting for shipments from overseas.

Default Found an original Honda Petcock for Fv 1997

My local Honda dealer apparently has a petcock with attached screen mesh filter for £120. Wemoto.com are advertising a Chinese one for £67:96 “fuel Tap (AG5207)”

I was lucky, my original petcock is fine, all I needed was the “screen mesh filter”, I put my time into rebuilding it, with the knowledge spending £120 was the final option.

found some stainless 120 mesh on Amazon, placed it inside the bits of the mesh and Welded the plastic parts back together. Seems to work fine but time will tell.

Impressive that you were able to get that together like that.
But, the screen mesh is available and not expensive. You don't have to buy a petcock to get the screen.

Good find Mr Lee, came across this https://www.cmsnl.com/products/scree...i_16952kaz000/
Which will at lease avoid the shipping costs from the US if the repaired one fails
