My fuel pump died today when I was halfway across a bridge

I found a safe place to park and got a ride home to pick up a used one I had from a crashed CBR I had bought.

Works fine now

Question, how long do they last ?(number of miles, years, etc.)

usually right up until they die... honestly I think it is a matter of luck. might last a short time if your tank has a lot of crap in it and the filter isn't working well. and if it is stored poorly (like outside all winter uncovered) the electrical side of it may crap out quickly. honestly, luck of the draw I think
