Well, I'm new here and all that. Got my hands on an '88 600 Hurricane and am more than stoked. When I got it she was running but the next day she wouldnt start. Soooooo it begins! I stripped her down, removed the carbs and cleaned them. Got a bunch of other things I gotta do before I can ride her too. Hopefully there is enough info on this forum to learn my noobage mind.

Anyways, here's a pic of her almost completely naked on the drive way...what a ****.

Hey buddy, my first bike is a 88 hurricane too. I just got her about a month and a half ago. Mine did the same thing and I'm not too technically inclined so the first thing that came to my mind was the battery; once I replaced the battery which was GONE, she fired right up. Have had some noob mishaps since then but she's still running. I ride her everyday to work n back.

Welcome to the forum, get used to taking those carbs out, you will do it often. THe paint looks in amazing condition on the fenders.
