Default Finding replacement parts

Hey guys. I’m new to the bike world but just got a 89 cbr 600 f1. It’s been sitting against a barn for about 10 years so it’s going to need a lot of work. I’ve been looking for a key first off and all I’m seeing is blank keys ( I don’t have a key to match it with) and new keys and ignition for newer bikes. I also can’t find new fairings for it either. If y’all know a good spot to find them that would be awesome and any info that I need to know would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum. New parts for something 30 years old is going to be virtually impossible. Searching ebay for used OEM parts from salvage bikes is probably the best option. Maybe a Chinese knock off might work as well, like this one.

I’ll check into the used parts I’m just not coming up with much. Also my bike doesn’t have the screws around the gas cap. Would that matter if I got one that did

take your VIN into dealer, they can cut you new set of keys to work with existing locks.

Go to dealer with VIN and they should be able to cut you new keys to work with existing locks.

bodywork you'll have to buy one piece at a time used on eBay.

Or get new fibreglass race fairings:
