Expectations of '90 CBR600
What can I expect in performance from my 1990 CBR 600F. I am a Canadian in about 3ft of snow and have not yet been able to see what this bike can really do. I am used of an older 84 Yamaha FJ600. Im very anxious to see its performance and compare performance.
well I would certainly hope an '90 bike is faster than any competitive '84 bike,
but yea, I've never ridden an FJ but I'd be modest tosay you should expectsomewhat of animprovement.
You can find raw numbers and a great review of the CBR line new and old in this month's MotorCyclist which can be found scanned online thanks to rrasco:

I was impressed when I got my 90 cbr600f1. The first time I got on it wide open I backed off. You'll be happy with it, besides, for the price I paid for mine with 10k miles, I'm happy too.
My last bike was a Suzuki gs550 from 81..... comparing that to the CBR is like night and day.... if I remember right that Fj had a pretty wimpy fairing compared to the CBR too...... enjoy it
