Default Does my bike have a HISS protection?

Hi Guys.

I have bought my CBR600F4 with one genuine key only. I want to cut the key, however i am not sure if my bike has a HISS protection system installed.

Here is picture of my dash and KEY insides.

When i turn ignition, there are no HISS light on the dash (just N and Oil pressure warning light)

Thank you in advance.

Strange thing: Just received my key without ID46 chip, and motor won't start. Its cranking but does not start. The original Key started machine without problem - so it must have be a HISS.

However, still no H-I-S-S on the key barrel, also no light on the dash.

1) Is it possible that my clocks has been changed ?
2) would it be even possible to program the Key without having HISS lamp on the dash (i knot the sctructure of programming involve HISS light) on the dash to be able to read the commands.

Thanks in advance.

I cannot imagine HISS working with a non-HISS barrel and non-HISS dash but if it starts with the original key but not the new key I can see no alternative

Ed Harris - i did some digging. On the sticker on the lock barrel says: 125kHz. its typical frequency for Immobiliser. My thought is that my bike does not have a HISS but it has an old style immo.

Purchased RFID reader yesterday, and will order new transponder for key. I should be able to read an original key and write to the new key.

Will keep this thread updated.

Perhaps try holding the old key fob next to the top of the lock while you try the new key?
