Digital Display?

I was also wondering if it is at all possible to replace the tachometer and all instraments on the stock display to a sigle digital display unit that will wire up to the old wireing harness. has anybody done this before or is it even possible. How much would something liike this run me and where might I find it? Thanks for your time, its greatly appreciated!!

yes, it is possible. try kosonorthamerica.com. they have a lot of different gauges from basic to bells and whistles. so you may find one on there in your price range. also, they have wiring diagrams for installation of their products.

the speedo on hurricanes is mechanicaly driven from the front tire. if you get a digital display, you are going to need some sort of speedsensor. i dont think it will plug directly into the stock wiring harness, you will probably have to splice into it.

not necessary.

the speedo works like those found on bicycles. there is a magnet and a sensor. the website has pdf that will show where to mount the sensor and magnet, how to mount the sensor and magnet, and how to calibrate the unit to get accurate speed. there are other options to doing this but if you get the speedo with the sensor, then this is the simplist solution.

Digi Gauges

Take a look at this thing. I put one on my Cane when I went streetfighter and it worked like a charm. Has the speedo, which is way more accurate than the stock mechanical one at high speed, tach, odometer, ride time, and you splice in a temp. sensor to the upper rad hose. You can totally remove the stock cluster. Get the billet aluminum case for it and you can mount nice and firm directly beneath the ignition for a perfect viewing angle as you ride. Worked awesome for me.

I ordered this nifty device that I've seen on the CBR250RR's in AUS. Tony has the best service I've come across in the automotive world in a very long time and I've modded a fair amount of vehicles.

I highly recommend a great product and world class service
