If everything is removed, you're probably just stuck on a dowel pin. You'll just need to take your time with it and lightly pry in a few spots to get it started (obviously not a critical mating surface).

found it, there was a bolt on the underside of the head connecting it to the cylinders on the exhaust side. It was not mentioned in the manual, i almost gave up.
