Default Cylinder Head Help ASAP please?

I have to have my Cylinder Head sent in to have a few valves replaced... I was curious if there were anything i could have them do to increase performance without having to change the lower end? I still want the bike to be reliable also... Port n Polish or valve change maybe? Thanks for the help... Also if there is work able to be done, then what else do i need to change?

If your bike is the california model you could swap the cams out for a 49 state model and make a little more power.

Port & polish could help, but if done incorrectly you could lose power and be worse off than when you started. I don't have much experience with the flow rates on these heads, but I don't think you're going to pick up a lot of power without doing some large modifications. IMO better gains can be made with a performance air filter, exhaust, sprockets, ign advance sprocket, jetting, etc if you haven't already done so.

It advances your ignition timing 6 degrees by replacing the original timing rotor/sprocket. The timing isn't adjustable so you have to modify that part to change the timing.

They also sell a couple versions of jet kits that should be top quality as well.

K&N is a good filter. I would be using one except I got a Uni foam filter for a steal of a price so I'm using that instead. I'm using a stage 1 jet kit similar to what factory pro sells and it runs excellent with those mods.

It should be pretty easy.. I haven't changed mine out yet, it's still on the list of parts to buy. Basically you drain the oil & pull the RH side cover to get access to it and just swap it out..
