Colour wire diagram 1990 FL 600
You're welcome!
Yeah, wiring starter solenoid activation directly to battery would keep it on constantly would kill it.
Had that problem on one bike where I lowered bars and ended up smashing start-button to gas-tank. Didn't realise it was stuck ON and was running solenoid and starter constantly. Until I stopped and notice starter was running! Couldn't turn it off, solenoid contacts had welded themselves ON full-time. Had to disconnect battery.

I hope that power cable with crimped ring-terminal between battery & solenoid is only temporary for testing. It won't last long with power needed for starting. Will end up corroding & burning in short time. Need proper solder-lugs and thick cable to transmit power required.
Electrics and me don't get on lol I think there's a short somewhere in the loom . Luckily there was a guy on ebay selling complete engine and loom running so jumped in the van and bought it lol.
it's a 600 1992 f2 I think the rear mount s are the same I can modify front mounts . Il trade metal work for electrics any day lol . Fingers crossed the rear mounts line up they look like that do .
