clutch cable help sounds dumb maybe is

Question clutch cable help sounds dumb maybe is

hey guys i been slowly replacing and going through my hurricane and i took it out for first ride after new complet front end yesterday well rode great and got home clutch was really stiff decided i would oil and adjust it and pulled it 2 or 3 times and the cable poped ..ok no big deal got new on coming already but when i got the new one i put it on and now the clutch wont engage at all even if i reach down and pull lever all way forward with figure ( dont have hardly no presure behind it) it does nothing drop it in gear and it stalls ..could something have come lose inside case when the cable broke? any advise would be nice

you have to YANK on the lever to engage the clutch. your finger wont do it. I JUST replaced my clutch cable and ran into the same thing, if you adjust it to sit where there isnt much slack clutch side, it will pull it past the point you cant move it with your finger.

as I said, I did the same thing and worried myself sick that I was going to have to replace my clutch, but all is well.
