Classic helmet
Only had one bike growing up, a 73 Honda CB350 that I bought used. It had purple metal flake paint and rarely ran. The starter was frozen up so it had to be kickstarted, and it generally didn't do that. I got completely ripped off because I was 15 and didn't know anything about motorcycles or mechanicals. That being said, when it ran I had a blast and I got the motorcycle bug.
Rode friends bikes when I could. We weren't a motorcycle crowd so this was rare until I went off to college and a couple buddies had bikes, so as soon as I finished college and headed off to the military I went to the Honda dealer in Orlando and bought myself a brand new 1989 CBR600F in silver and white.
Got a good Arai helmet but I was single and thought I might actually meet a girl someday who'd want to go for a ride. Surface Warfare School up in Newport, RI, needed some parts and popped over to the Honda dealer in Providence, only to see this sitting on the clearance table.
Pretty cool. Bought it dirt cheap ($80 if I remember correctly) and it's been a decent shop helmet for the past ten years since I got newer helmets for riding.
Anyway, a bit of history I thought you might enjoy.
