own a 87 600 that started to have fuel pump and spark issues. did all checks and all i could find was continuity thru pulse terminals ,yellow bl. to ground in unit. it will spark from tip of plug to motor but not to electrode only. also the fuel pump not acting correct. any ideas as to whats going on? thks friends

 

two of the four pins on box have continuity to ground on cdi ,does that mean cdi is bad? anyone know what the output votage on stator should be?

 

Are they new plugs? Can you elaborate on the fuel pump issues?

 

yes they new plugs, started having spark problems on two cylinders ,and fuel pump does not run either. two plugs will spark from tip to motor but not to electrode tip . or it will spark from threads on plug to motor. whatever has occured effects the spark on two cylinders and fuel pump.

 

thinking about replacing whole ignition system with dyna 2000 setup.

 

Are the 2 that don't work from either the outboard or inboard cylinders? Could be a faulty coil.
