RR Conversion Bike Coming To Life
The RR Conversion Bike is running. I thought I'd post this video separately since it's been so long.
The idle was set too low in the video...but this was the first time it fired up and I was in the shop so couldn't run it long. I took it outside later to tune it better.

I've had other bikes that gave me that thrill, but this one is special because it was the first bike I built after over 30 years away from motorcycles. It also was a very long time coming.
Being a bike that I converted from a $300 pile of bolts into something quite unique...it has a special place for me.
To have it come to life like this...to sound pretty awesome...sort of in the character of what I had hoped is very special.
I am very happy with it. I can't wait to ride it. It's actually very comfortable. I think my old body can handle it.

Your bike sounds really nice! Noticeably different to mine which has old "Laser" end can.
To my ears carbon fibre cans sound best on most bikes. They have beautiful bassy groal on low revs. I would like to get one, but I think it could look stupid on a completely stock looking bike.
Maybe I should buy one anyways and paint it silver?
