Buying a 89 600f. Reliable?
So im usually in the F2 forum but am currently thinking about buying a 1989 cbr 600f off craigs list for 900 (he wanted 1200) lot of goot looking pics and its got 24k miles. Appearantly everything works its just a little noisy and has a "slight" low rpm studdder. I know Hondas are tanks but is the hurricane reliable and known to rack up more miles then this?? this was the first bike of its kind and they seemed to change evrything up for the f2? Any thoughts on the potential purchase???

Hey bro
I've got one as my first bigger bike and first project. I'm definitely no expert but after working on mine for a little while I can tell you they're great to work on and an appreciating classic so will be an investment. Studder at low revs? - I heard once that's a classic honda characteristic . My advice is to do your homework on this model and you'll come to the conclusion that it's a fantastic bike that you've just gotta have. If it does have a few issues then this is the place to be.

i own a 87 hurricane 600 and a 94 f2. the hurricane is so much more reliable. ive been doing nothing but tinkering with the f2 since ive owned it and my hurricane i just jump on and go! had it 6 years now. 47k miles. been from NH to NY 3 times to americade with no issues. only think ive done is the manual cam chain tensioner. the only down side is plastics are expensive for the hurricane
