hey guys im pretty new to the F1 i have a 1988 600 and it runs awsome i think it needs a cct it has ticking close together at low rpms and gets worse till about 3 or 4k i seems to be coming from center of motor ..also if you rev the motor in nuetral warm or cold it pulls hard up the band till about 4.5 to 5.5k and dies spits and sputers but then pics right back up all way till about 11k ..never had it past that does it when driving too just got new plugs and wires for it any ideas would be much help ..btw where do i get the manual cct and how much difficult is it to install?

 

Sounds like the carbs need to be cleaned and then syncronized. Make sure the air filter is clean too.

 

is the bike naked or faired ? . what jets are you using and exhaurst and can is on the bike also any mods to the air box ? it sounds like fueling . clean your cabrs and check your fuel pump is working as it should .

 

Yea im gonna pull covers off carbs and check and clean them soon as weather improves ..the jet are i assume factory size i just bought bike and he just said has had some upgrades didnt really say what lmao he didnt even know what kinda motor it had i dont trust him ..has k&n filter on it..and vince and hinds ss2 can and factory headers ..one header on tube has dent in it about half dollar size dunno if that would change it alot but yea carbs are new on my list thanks guys ill let you know if it solves prob

would also recommend setting the mixture screws to the standard setting..
