1989 need to hook up fuel pump
 
i traded my car for this bike this guy told me it needed alittle tlc he said nothing major the bike worked and i drove it at his house and everything was working fine once he put it in his truck to take it to my house the next day i went to start it it wouldnt start up i took a closer look at the bike by taking off some fairings and gas tank ect i noticed it was gravity fed and didnt have a fuel pump i have a 1988 cbr 600 f1 i want to take off the fuel pump from there and transfer it to the 89 but it seems like the harnesses are 2 different ones can someone please help me i have the service manual but it wont tell me what color the wires are in the harness for the fuel pump and for the relay it only tells me the wires that are already on the fuel pump connector please help me i neeed this to be my daily driver i been messing around with this bike for over a week

About the connector issue, it's possible the PO tried a different fuel pump before and wired in a different connector. just snip this off and you can crimp in some spade terminals to both the loom and fuel pump.

i want to rewire the fuel pump he took everything out no fuel pump or relay just gas tank to the carbs with no filter i have no idea about bike but i am mechanically incline i am a auto mechanic i have no problem fixing it i just need some guidance

never mind i took it further and call honda in cali talked to corprate and told them my engine serial number and after all this stressing out it turns out it was a swap from a f2 so now i got to go to the f2 fourms thanks for caring
