Hi and welcome to the forum. Milky oil is certainly never a good thing. Can you provide any history on the bike? You say that you just started working on the bike. What does that mean? What prompted the work, and what kind of work were you doing?
Well I get the bike for 600 , noticed carbs needed hooked up, did that, also noticed low on coolant but oil did not look to bad, no coolant in it. Got it started on 2 cylinders, noticed a coil pack was unplugged and I fixed that. Oil was old I could tell, but definitely not chocolate milk, the bike ran a combined total of 1 minute, I noticed a valve cover bolt missing oil and coolant was coming out of that , that's when I shut the bike down and brought it in , what was left in the small pump was green,in the pan 1000 percent all chocolate milk, the radiator had less chocolate milk in it, looked like dirty water, I bought a waterpump with no rust last night and in going to see if that works
