New to the cbrxx world
So I did at one time a few years ago owned a couple of CBR 1000fs I gave them over to my son who got one running. I moved to Austin TX and found a CBR 1100 that had been abandoned at a repair shop. I'm looking to trade for this bike next Saturday. The bike is a 2000 with just under 6200 miles. It has some fairing damage but nothing unrepairable. I look forward to any assistance you guys can offer. Here are some photoshttps://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/cbrforu...8bb6f3a181.jpg

The blackbird is a great bike, I'd love to own one sometime in the future.
6200 miles isn't even run-in for these engines, so in that respect she should be in pretty good shape. Just make sure to remove the spark plugs and drop a good squirt of oil into each cylinder, doesn't look like she's been started recently, then a complete oil/filter change. If it was me I'd probably crank her over with the kill switch engaged, just to build some oil pressure, before actually starting her. Let us know how you get on and welcome to the forum :icon_toast: |
Part of the trade
So the deal for this bike is a survivor BMW 750 some work on the CBR and some cash. The shop involved does have it running and it's hitting on all 4, very sweet sound,. Looking at tires, fairing repair and a new windscreen. From the photos it is obvious it need a cleaning and polish.

Poor thing needs a lot of TLC. Shame the shop just stuck it outside in the weather. Inexcusable.
