190 rears on a 1999 blackbird?
This is something that my neighbor asked and I said I would check for him in the forum (I have a 06 CBR1K, so I frequent another section of the site).
He has a '99 Blackbird that has 180 rear tires (per stock configuration). He would like to up it to 190 since he needs new tires anyway, and was wondering if it would make any difference. Here are my questions:
- Can he use the same rim?
- Any noticeable difference while riding?
- Would it interfere with or rub against any bodywork?
- Any changes in stability?
If you have done it to your bike and have a picture handy, it would be great if you could post it.
Thanks in advance for your input!

putting a 190 tire on a 180 rim will sqeeze the 190 down to about 180. it mess up the profile and handling suffers. (inconsistant tranision in and out of lean almost li ke riding a sqaured off tire) I read a whole right up on sportrider i think. he would need a bigger rim for a bigger tire, as far as clearence goes i have no idea, its only half a centimeter bigger on either side so could just look at his current set up.
