I went out riding yesterday and rode for about 40 miles and I kept noticing my temp gauge never got above 89 degrees. It was 65 degrees outside yesterday and i rode it pretty hard at times. Is this normal?? The guy at the Honda dealership asked me if there was coolant in the overflow. How do I go about seeing that? Thanks for any help

 

Sounds like a bad gauge , take it to the dealer.

Dude, if I am not mistaken, there is a way to change from C to F. It will be in the owners manual. Please try that first.

 

I called the dealership and it can be changed from C to F...I was messing with the clock yesterday and must have switched it by accident. Thanks for your help

As far as the coolant overflow, you should be able to see the overflow reservoir level inside the front tire well. This is true on the 04 CBR, and I am pretty sure it would be the same for an 06. Looking straight into the front tire well, the reservoir is on the left inside wall.

Just an advise. Please, look over your operator's manual. You'll be surprised how much you can learn about your bike.
